Job Description
- Sources/canvasses, solicits quotations or bids for various required items/services as per approved purchases requisitions and/or purchasing plans
- Visits stores and machine shops to check the actual goods to be purchased and evaluate vendors warehouse if can meet productions needs.
- Prepares canvass sheets and evaluates quotations/bids in coordination with the end-user and recommends which suppliers/contractors are to be selected for various items
- Prepares purchase orders and contracts of services and submits these to Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Operations Manager for approval
- Issues approved purchase orders/contracts to selected suppliers/contractors
- Coordinates with Cargo insurance to cover the importation orders
- Plans and monitors orders according to the date needed for production
- Follows-up/expedites delivery of ordered items with suppliers
- Coordinates with forwarders and brokers for importations/export shipments
- Prepares Import permits and other requirements in releasing the import shipment
- Coordinates with the supplier for the rejected items delivered.
- Prepares necessary documents for warranty claim and insurance claim
- Prepares necessary documents for export (return imports goods)
- Monitors return of rejected goods and warranty claims
- Recommends termination of contract and cancels purchase orders for undelivered orders
- Sources/canvasses, solicits quotations for scrap buyers
- Prepares canvass sheets and recommends best scrap buyer and submits to SSPO Manager for approval
- Coordinates with the scrap buyer to prepare necessary requirements according to PEZA guidelines
- Accredits new suppliers. Checks submitted requirements and visits shops and offices recommendation and submit to the Manager
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3 years in Purchasing
- College graduate, preferably in Engineering, Accounting or Computer Science
- Must be willing to work in Lapu-Lapu, City
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
