Graphic Design Internship  

Background:

Algoritma Data Science School's marketing department provides top-notch content to its audience through various channels such as events, webinars, and digital content, which includes social media posts, articles, and e-books. While some of our workshops come with a price tag, the majority of our content is free. Our aim is to help our audience understand the value of learning data science and how it can revolutionize their work.

We are currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern to assist us in delivering high-quality content. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced designers to create various graphic design materials, such as logos, brochures, advertisements, website designs, and social media graphics, that are visually appealing, engaging, and effectively convey the desired message to the target audience.

Job Summary:

The graphic design intern will be responsible for creating product explainer, promotional, and advertisement videos, as well as editing videos and other visual content as needed. Additionally, the intern will manage all aspects of producing printed and visual materials, including motion graphics, brochures, pamphlets, posters, infographics, fact sheets, slides, exhibits, and promotional items, as well as social media images.

The intern will also proofread work to ensure accuracy and quality, and prepare designs and files for print, websites, and social media, while ensuring that web files meet web content accessibility standards. To stay current with the latest design trends, the intern will conduct research to create visuals that align with our brand.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create product explainer, promotional, and advertisement videos
• Edit videos and other visual content as needed
• Manage all aspects of producing printed and visual materials, including motion graphics, brochures, pamphlets, posters, infographics, fact sheets, slides, exhibits, promotional items, and social media images
• Proofread work to ensure accuracy and quality
• Prepare designs and files for print, websites, and social media
• Ensure that web files meet web content accessibility standards
• Conduct research to stay current with the latest design and video trends
• Develop layouts, mock-ups, and prototypes for print and digital media, including video storyboards and animatics
• Produce and edit videos, including motion graphics, animation, and sound design
• Present design and video ideas to clients and stakeholders in team meetings
• Contribute to the development of brand identity and marketing strategies for graphic design and video production

• Pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
• Familiarity with design principles, typography, and color theory
• Understanding of video production, editing, and post-production processes
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation
• Familiarity with video codecs and file formats
• Ability to work with audio and sound design
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous design and video work and projects
