Job Description
- Develop custom, lightweight web calculators to be integrated into articles on our personal finance website
- Analyze given topics and determine appropriate inputs, variables, and formulas for each calculator
- Ensure all calculators are clean JavaScript-based with minimal external dependencies
- Collaborate with the content team to create useful and user-friendly tools that resonate with our readers
- Test and optimize calculator performance across various devices and browsers
- Maintain and update existing calculators, as necessary
- Adhere to best practices in front-end web development and user experience design
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to inform future calculator development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of front-end web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with jQuery (limited usage)
- Knowledge of ASP.NET framework, with experience integrating front-end components
- Ability to work independently and generate ideas for calculator tools based on given topics
- Comfortable working with a non-WordPress, non-PHP CMS
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
