We're looking for an SEO Manager to be part of Magic's Marketing Team. The SEO Manager needs to lead and coordinate SEO efforts across our website and wider marketing campaigns.
Job Type: Full-Time, Work from Home
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7AM to 4PM PHT
Responsibilities:
- Creating & implementing effective SEO strategies
- Lead the SEO Department
- Researching keywords to aid the content teams
- Troubleshooting technical SEO issues & recommending fixes
- Optimizing on-page & off-page content & copy
- Developing off-page optimization projects e.g. link-building
- Analyzing and reporting on conversion and journey optimization with regards to UX, online - analytics, digital acquisition, customer journeys, A/B testing, and online routes to purchase.
- Working closely with PPC & Social Media teams to optimize content and campaigns
- Keeping up to date with current SEO trends and technologies
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience as SEO Manager
- Google Certification is a must
- Strong understanding of standard and current SEO practices
- Understanding of HTML/CSS
- Knowledge & experience reporting on SEO efforts
- Working experience with SEO tools (e.g. Conductor, Screaming Frog, MOZ) and analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Data Studio, Search Console, HubSpot)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Track record of leadership skills
- Analytically minded and strong in arithmetic
- BSc/BA in Marketing, Business or related field
Competencies:
Web Design & Development – At a basic level, understanding enough HTML to apply a keyword strategy in high-priority places and work effectively in a site structure or CMS.
Copywriting & Blogging – Whether it's marketing collateral, article generation, or copywriting with an SEO focus is fundamental
Web Server Administration – There will always be a need to handle requests specific to the web server, such as URL rewrites, .htaccess, DNS, proxy servers, etc…
Online PR/Promotion – There’s value in backlinks. It’s important to establish relationships with these people before asking for the link request, or at the least, have the campaign in place to reach out productively. Old-school link requests are (mostly) dead and there is only so much value online directories will have for more competitive keyword niches.
