Project Delivery Director  

Job Description

The person will report directly to the group CEO and will be a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for the expansion of the business. This role has been created due to unprecedented and continued growth of xDNA both organically and through successful acquisitions with a plan to double growth year on year.

Part of the responsibility is to define and shape process of all xDNA’s services including Design, Software Engineering and Marketing Services and to ensure a timely delivery and with the highest quality solutions with excellent customer expectations. He/she should have the ability to lead with a technical background as well as experience in working with departmental managers across multiple disciplines. Travel will be an important part of the role visiting London once or twice a year to work with your counterpart in the UK and to meet customers as well as hosting reciprocal visits to Manila.

A summary of key responsibilities

• Review, analyze and evaluate business processes. Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
• Management, leadership, and governance of the end-to-end delivery processes with responsibility for the quality of pre-delivery scoping, budgets, detailed Project Plans, and high-quality delivery exceeding customer expectations.
• Managing a large team of Project Managers, working on a variety of design, software engineering, and marketing projects.
• Management of software releases from sprint through to systems test, UAT, and deployment.
• Lead a globally distributed team, with the majority in the Philippines, this would include overseas in the UK, US, and different time zones.
• Whilst your direct staff will be Philippine-based, your customers and senior colleagues will be globally distributed, primarily in UK and US initially, and you will be responsible for timely project communications over multiple time zones by developing the process and systems for smooth communication
• You will be the Director responsible for the delivery of all projects; On Time - On Budget, whilst meeting & managing client expectations.
• You are responsible for holding all stakeholders accountable for delivering to plan.

We want to see

• Work with the Operations Director in the UK to implement a company-wide operating & communication and delivery process.
• Create project scopes, by establishing and validating business and technical requirements; obtaining input from subject-matter experts; examining and recommending changes to current business practices; developing and writing proposals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resourcing, utilizing external vendors where necessary.
• Manage external tech vendors effectively, maintaining project deadline and budgets.
• Manage and conduct QA teams, processes and UAT.
• Provide ongoing project management and consultation services as required post-implementation

We want you to have

• A highly organized approach to scheduling, forecasting, and managing vendors & partners.
• Experience coordinating with teams across multiple disciplines.
• Understanding and working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, and content management systems e.g WordPress and Shopify would be beneficial.
• An deep understanding of project management software and making recommendations on improvements.
• Stakeholder Management - need to be able to demonstrate proven stakeholder management skills (internal and external). Proven experience working up to c-level is therefore mandatory.
• Team Management & Leadership - Imperative that you bring proven leadership skills to the table as this role will see you take ownership of a portfolio of work, as well as line managing a growing team.
• 6-10 years of experience and capable of leading large-scale software or marketing projects and teams on national accounts. Experience managing resource allocations for multi-disciplinary teams effectively, within a given budget and timeline.
• A knowledge of the requirements and special considerations across various sectors.
• A track record of building and leading great teams.
• The ability to determine and articulate the best use of resources, prioritizing areas of investment based on the value it brings to the business.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver fast and efficiently.
• Charisma and a strong personality, fused with a consultative approach and an ability to bring along with you.
