C O M P A N Y B A C K G R O U N D What is now PO LAO MARQUEZ BENEDICTOS & CO. (PLMB & Co.) started out as a group of enterprising professionals with backgrounds in computer and general auditing. After their stint with the largest professional accounting firm in Asia, they occupied management positions in various private and government entities in order to further enhance their business acumen while simultaneously practicing their profession on a part-time basis. Due to the growing acceptance by the business community, the partners joined forces and decided to register as a general professional partnership in 1988. Drawing from their past experiences and exposures in various industries, the Firm eventually was able to diversify in a short span of time from a mere accounting firm to a company engaged likewise in providing allied business services. The Firm extends personalized services by also acting as close business advisors. At present, there are three (3) active partners with a pool of audit and accounting staffs. The Firm has tremendously grown vertically and horizontally in terms of assets, organizational structure and most of all, clientele. We have served our clientele following the precepts of integrity, quality and trust from the time of our inception in 1988 to the present. We strive to maintain close personal relationships with our clients by acting as trusted advisors in the fields of accounting, audit, consulting, financial services and taxation. We invest in the continuing education of our personnel. We confer regularly on how we can keep on improving the quality of service that we provide. In short, we grow our abilities and capabilities to grow our clients. In 2011, we pursued a major restructuring of our firm, upgraded our facilities, developed new areas of expertise, hired new personnel, and actively participated in professional business organizations to achieve a higher degree of excellence.
