In 1994 Michael S. Singh and Teddy K. Manotoc conceptualized Nacho King! They were tired of the usual snacks offered in malls and food courts, and at the same time they were disappointed with their quality. They thought of offering mall goers a snack that was more delicious, exciting, convenient, and nutritious. They wanted a snack made for eating on the go or while watching a movie. The two entrepreneurs figured a stall specializing in nachos would have a degree of novelty in the sense that nacho were not available in malls. Michael and Teddy were further convinced in their concept by the fact that Mexican Cuisine had already proven to be popular through Mexican food chains and also with the success rate of nachos in the U.S. which were seen in amusement parks, malls and movie houses. A year of research and planning paid off as their first Cart at SM City North EDSA, Quezon City, immediately proved a success. In April 16, 1995, Nacho King opened its first stall and it was also the first Nacho King Cart in the country. Since 1995, Nacho King has expanded here in the country. All outlets are strategically situated in popular malls, supermarkets, and schools all over metropolis. The company’s primary objective is to serve quality products and extend efficient and effective customer service to customers.
