Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Office Management and Staffing Section Head, the Messenger III is responsible for the pick-up, transport and delivery of documents, packages and other items between offices or departments within the campus or off-campus locations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

I. Messengerial Functions

• Delivers and picks-up memos, letters, invitations, press releases, parcels and other materials within and outside the campus
• Photocopies, collates, and labels materials for routing
• Sorts items/documents to be delivered according to the delivery route
• Plans and follows the most efficient routes for delivery
• Obtains signatures and receiving copies
• Delivers messages or materials outside of the campus
• Documents/Records information when necessary
• Ensures that items/documents are delivered in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintains communication with point of departure through radio or cell phone
• Ensures security of packages/documents
• Confirms deliveries by checking into the Section at given schedules

II. Section Support

• Performs clerical and logistical functions for the Office and its activities and events

III. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Immediate Supervisor or any authorized representatives

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Systematic, organized, and attentive to detail
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft applications
• Commendable interpersonal skills
• Able to keep confidential matters
• Excellent driving skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• With professional driving license
