People's Credit and Finance Corporation

PCFC as a GOCC was created as an alternative banking, financing and credit system to provide affordable credit to the poor. It provides access to credit that promotes the values of self-reliance and people empowerment to complement national development efforts aimed to create a more equitable distribution of wealth. Under Republic Act 8425, PCFC is mandated as the vehicle for the delivery of microfinance services for the exclusive use of the poor and as the lead government entity specifically tasked to mobilize financial resources from both local and international funding sources.
