SEM-CALACA POWER CORPORATION

Sem-Calaca Power Corporation (SCPC), a full-owned subsidiary of Semirara Mining and Power Corporation, was created in November 2009 to engage in the business of power generation. SCPC owns the 2x300MW Coal-fired Thermal Power Plant in Calaca, Batangas which was acquired by the DMCI group in December 2009 through a negotiated sale conducted by the government. Currently, SCPC is among the major power generating companies in the country in terms of capacity.
