The Quezon City Polytechnic was created on March 1, 1994 by virtue of the City Council Ordinance No. SP-171 an institution to primarily undertake the training and development of qualified technicians and skilled workers.

BOM creation is critical to this role, as it specifies the materials and components required for garment production.

Key Responsibilities:

	<li>BOM Creation: Create and maintain an accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for each garment style. This includes specifying the type and quantity of fabrics, trims, buttons, zippers, labels, and other materials needed for production. Ensure that BOMs are current and reflect any design or specification changes.</li>
	<li>Costing: Calculate the cost of materials and components listed in the BOM to determine the overall production cost for each garment style. This involves working with suppliers to negotiate prices and obtain cost-effective materials.</li>
	<li>Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for fabrics, trims, and other materials required for garment production. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.</li>
	<li>Production Planning: Collaborate with production managers and planners to create production schedules that align with order deadlines and capacity constraints. Ensure that the required materials are available when needed to avoid delays.</li>
	<li>Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials and components received from suppliers to ensure they meet the company's standards. Address any quality issues promptly and work with suppliers to resolve them.</li>
	<li>Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels for materials and components, ensuring sufficient quantities are on hand to meet production demands without overstocking.</li>
	<li>Communication: Act as a liaison between the design and production teams, providing technical support and clarifications on BOM details, design specifications, and any changes in production requirements.</li>
	<li>Cost Analysis: Continuously analyze production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining product quality.</li>
	<li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records of BOMs, supplier communications, cost calculations, and production schedules. Ensure all documentation is organized and easily accessible.</li>
	<li>Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address production challenges, such as material shortages, quality issues, or production delays, to ensure on-time delivery of orders.</li>
