Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our pioneering finance team as a Property Accountant for a newly launched service. This role offers significant responsibilities and ample opportunities for professional growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in property management accounting principles and practical experience in financial reporting, month-end closings, and budgeting and forecasting.

 

What you’ll do: As Property Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting processes for a portfolio of multifamily and/or commercial properties. This involves maintaining accurate financial records, performing month-end closings, and supporting budgetary and forecasting initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

<ol>
	<li>Prepare and maintain financial statements such as monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for assigned properties.</li>
	<li>Perform month-end closings through journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for subledgers, bank accounts, and tenant accounts.</li>
	<li>Manage accounts payable and receivable by reviewing invoices, ensuring compliance, and coordinating collections for overdue accounts.</li>
	<li>Analyze property-level financial data to support budgeting and forecasting and monitor budget-to-actual performance.</li>
	<li>Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, prepare audit schedules, and provide support during audits.</li>
	<li>Collaborate with Property and Regional Managers to deliver financial insights and respond to inquiries related to reports and ad-hoc projects.</li>
</ol>

Work Schedule and Set-up:

<ul>
	<li>Set-up: Hybrid work arrangement; candidates must be available to report onsite 2-3x per week or as needed.</li>
	<li>Schedule: Mid-shift hours from 12 PM to 9 PM (PH Time), subject to change based on business needs.</li>
	<li>Overtime: Potential work extensions during month-end reporting and other critical periods.</li>
