Responsibilities 

<ul>
	<li>Update patient’s medical records in the billing platform</li>
	<li>Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers</li>
	<li>​Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient information, procedure codes and diagnosis codes</li>
	<li>​Review supporting medical documentation before claim submission to ensure correctness, completeness, and compliance with payer requirements </li>
	<li>Resolve claim discrepancies, correct coding errors, and resubmit denied or rejected claims in a timely manner</li>
	<li>Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries, outstanding balances, and available payment plans.</li>
	<li>Post payments from insurance companies and patients to the appropriate accounts</li>
	<li>Reconcile patient accounts, issue refunds as necessary, and ensure accurate financial reporting.</li>
	<li>Follow up on unpaid claims and accounts to minimize aging accounts receivable</li>
	<li>Assist lead or supervisor in orienting, training, and mentoring staff.</li>
	<li>Handle special projects as requested</li>
