Cebuano and Hiligaynon Translator  

Job Responsibilities:

• To maintain or exceed a daily quota of words translated (from English to Hiligaynon/Cebuano, Cebuano/Hiligaynon to Tagalog , or vice versa) with the highest quality possible.
• To perform “peer proofreading” and work collaboratively with fellow linguists when assigned or when the need arises.
• To research, compile and learn business, tools and technical terminologies
• To engineer documents and files in such a way that clients and suppliers are both happy with the results.
• Other language-related tasks as may be defined and assigned from time to time

Job Qualifications:

• Educational Attainment: At least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Linguistics, Languages, Literature, Translation Studies, Philippine Studies, Journalism or other related courses is required. Those who have taken up a few subjects in translation (translation theories, Filipino translations, etc.) will have an advantage.
• Languages: Applicants must be highly fluent in English and a native speaker of any of the following combinations: Hiligaynon and Tagalog/ Cebuano and Tagalog/ Cebuano and Hiligaynon
• Must be a techie.
• Familiar with using e-mail and chat programs.
• Ability to work with CAT tools is a plus.
• Adept at multitasking but knows how to prioritize.
• Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be willing to report to office located in Antipolo/Marikina area.
• Eligibility on hybrid set-up.
