Instrumentation and Control Engineer  

The position holder supports the Control and Communications Supervisor in conceptualizing and designing automation, control and communication systems of ARI to achieve the objective of developing and executing financially and commercially viable renewable energy projects.

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and establishing of instrument requisitions and specifications of ARI projects that adhere to accepted codes and standards. Activities include but are not limited to
  • Contributes to electrical assessments of potential plants from pre-screening, screening, pre-development, development, and execution for Hydro, Solar, Wind Power Plants, and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • Produce design/detailed engineering, plans drawings, estimates, budgets of proposed projects, expansion, and improvements, or any proposed works related to communications and controls of the substation, switchyard, powerhouse, distribution line, and transmission line.

• Delivers timely technical support, advice, and assistance pertaining to ICC scope through effective collaboration with other teams
  • Other engineers to develop accurate, efficient equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety and usability standards and client expectations.
  • Other functional units to avoid conflicts with mechanical, structural, plumbing, and architectural elements of each project.
• Conducts inspection and resolves system issues related to ICC scope; activities including but not limited to
  • Oversees the implementation of devices and control systems ensuring it is correctly installed and properly tested.
  • Analyzes and identifies areas of inefficiency and needs for improvement; redesign and develops instrumentation to meet those needs.
• Monitors status and reports implementation of ICC requirements through project monitoring, and involvement in construction until commissioning.
• Prepares and follows-up requisition of communication and control equipment and devices.

• A graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electronics Engineering
• Registered Electrical Engineer OR Registered Electronics Engineer
• Able to read Single Line Diagram, P&I Diagram, System Architecture.
• Able to create I/O list, BOQ and estimate.
• PVsyst skill is a big plus.
• Willing to travel and be designated at site.
