At ImportGenius we are always finding ways to build tools that allow our customers to discover powerful insights from global trade data. Our technologies include AWS Spark, AWS Athena, AWS Glue, MySQL, and ELK.

About DevOps

DevOps team helps the developers and operations improve their productivity by managing infrastructure for development, testing and deployment. The main goal is to increase the rate of software delivery and automate the infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Configure and manage AWS to ensure availability, scalability and security of cloud services
• Setup and maintain production and development servers and ensure that the public-facing servers are PCI Compliant
• Develop processes and tools to monitor server downtime and provide solutions to system security threats
• Build and maintain automated process for continuous integration and deployment of applications established by the development team
• Generate usable scripts for serving business requirements and reports
• Provide technical support in local office network and infrastructure
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices set forth by the company
• Responsible for various aspects of on-call support and maintenance engagements

• AWS Technologies: Compute, Storage, Database, Network, Management, Security
• Languages: Python, Perl, Bash Scripting
• Databases: MySQL, MongoDB
• Methodology and Techniques: Agile
• Web Services and Schema: REST, SOAP, XML, JSON
• Web Server: Nginx, Apache
• Server Administration: Linux/Unix Servers
• Version Control (Git)
• Continuous Integration and Deployments

Having one of the following is a plus

• Experience with ElasticSearch and Sphinx
• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
