Job Description

The position is responsible for providing assistance in documentation necessary in ERC filings of Aboitiz Power Corporation cases and managing ERC compliances of the BUs through coordination with internal or external partners.

  • Attends ERC hearings, Acts as resource during hearings
  • Handles queries regarding financial aspects of the application
  • Informs the Regulatory Affairs Manager for escalated issues
  • Prepares hearing reports and submits to the Regulatory Affairs Manager and other stakeholders
  • Attends and supports the witness (BU)
  • Participates in public hearings
  • Jots down additional information regarding documents and requirements
  • Creates/Develops financial models for ERC approval and for review of Regulatory Affairs Manager
  • Assists the Regulatory Affairs Manager in reviewing, monitoring, analyzing industry applications, supply agreements, ERC orders/decisions, and cascading the same to the relevant Business Units
  • Monitors and collates all rules, standards, protocols, regulations, and resolutions of ERC, DOE, and other agencies with regard to the Generation Sector that may impact AP Operations
  • Provides advice to the Bunisess Units on queries regarding ERC and DOE issuances and regulations, focusing on compliance issues. Communicates with ERC and DOE for clarifications on rules, regulations, procedures and requirements.
  • Develops and maintains relations with government agencies e.g. ERC, DOE, and other industry players on matters affecting Aboitiz Power Gen
    Business Units

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the TL

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Economics or any 4-year business related course
  • At least 4 years relevant experience with knowledge in ERC filing process, power industry and financial modeling is preferred
  • Understanding of the power industry (generation, distribution, sales)
