Job Description
The position holder is responsible for supporting ARI and working together with AP|AEV and external insurance brokers towards the effective acquisition and management of the organization’s non-life insurance programs and other related insurance requirements.
Responsibilities includes but not limited to the following:
- Lead and/or support the end-to-end procurement, negotiation and management of the insurance requirements of the group; maximization of claims recovery from the insurance policies while minimizing costs and still manage potential risk exposure.
- Lead and/or support insurance related project and financing requirements such as but not limited to lender’s insurance requirements as well as bonds (e.g. performance, surety, etc.) and/or similar guarantee requirements in coordination with the insurance broker.
- Lead and/or support insurance decision making processes with the creation and maintenance of insurance related dashboards, flash reports, forecasting, budgeting, monitoring, documentation and other housekeeping | compliance requirements.
- Ensuring compliance to data privacy of ARI.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities to support the corporate planning and business performance team deliverables as the need or urgency arises.
Insurance, Risk, Premiums and Claims Management
- Lead and/or support in the design and recommends insurance cover requirements of the company, including endorsements for further enhancements in coverage terms and conditions.
- Lead and/or support negotiations with insurance brokers and/or advisers on insurance purchases to maximize coverage at the most cost-effective price.
- Evaluates the cost effectiveness of insurance programs and the quality of service provided by insurance carriers.
Insurance Project and Financing Requirements (Bonds and Insurance Due Diligence)
- Lead and/or support the end-to-end process of sourcing and engaging lenders insurance advisors to perform insurance due diligence as required by the banks.
- Make sure that lender insurance requirements are submitted to the bank on time and are less restrictive towards the organization in order to make a more risk-based decision on insurance procurement.
Insurance Data Analytics, Dashboards and Reporting
- Design and maintain insurance related dashboards and flash reports to aid in insurance related decision-making process.
- Provide data gathering, data analytics and recommendations in insurance related decision-making process based on available data.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 3-4 years combined experience in insurance management or risk finance related to the utilities sector is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience with power generation sector, renewable energy sector, risk management and project management is preferred.
- Knowledge in Non-Life Insurance Management, Risk Management, ISO 31000, ISO 27000, COSO standards, FM Global, other risk engineering standards, insurance industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Engineering. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or any other related certifications are an advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (PPT)
