Senior Systems Administrator  

Job Summary:

Successful candidate will responsible for managing the company’s hybrid server/storage infrastructure and will be working closely with Pune and US team members for projects and implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Server Operations Management

• Solid expertise in managing large scale enterprise server infrastructure using Windows-based operating systems in a 24x7 mission critical production environments
• Assists in administering all hardware and software systems
• Ensure that change management procedures are followed at all times
• Perform regular server/software maintenance and upgrades
• Ensure that hardware/software performance meet service level targets

Problem Management

• Ensure efficient and timely resolution (isolation and analysis, management and coordination, 3rd party escalation …etc.) of server problems and outages
• Coordinate with internal/external vendors and clients following the documented escalation processes
• Act as a point of escalation for System Engineers and must be able to provide direction on how to resolve Server/Storage issues and concerns.
• Proactively monitor service requests from production and assists in managing concerns of the team.

Resource Planning and Management

• Monitor and generate reports of current systems utilization
• Ensure that server hardware and software systems are capable of handling current utilization and projected growth
• Design, recommend and implement improvements to the existing infrastructure.
• Architect server and storage infrastructure for enterprise deployments

Systems Security Management

• Evaluate and implement server security tools and processes
• Monitor, report and prevent security breaches
• Ensure that company’s systems are logically and physically sound to withstand current and all security threats

• BS Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any related computer course graduate.

• At least 5 years of hand-on experience on the following:

  - Active Directory Administration

  - Group Policies and OUs

  - Windows Servers/Services

  - Microsoft WSUS

  - Microsoft DFS

  - Microsoft WDS

  - VMWare

  - AWS Cloud setups

  - MSSQL database

• At least 5 years of hands-on systems administration experience in handling a Windows Enterprise, Virtualized Environments.

• At least 5 years hands-on experience in implementing and configuring server backup facilities using RAID and Clustering/Fail-Over technologies

• Must be able to install, configure and perform advanced troubleshooting of server hardware and software components.

• Project management experience in rolling out IT projects is an advantage.

• Willing to work on shifting schedule including weekends and holidays

• AWS or other cloud-based deployment experience is a plus

• Fast learning and well-developed analytical thinking, design thinking and problem-solving skills

• Experience in an organization with ISO 9001 and 27001 certification is an advantage

• Excellent written and oral English communications skills
