Loan Settlements Officer  

Principal Accountabilities:

• Instructing solicitors to prepare loan documents in line with Credit Approval
• Liaising with solicitors to ensure loan documents are issued in a timely manner
• Ensuring compliance with all pre-settlement credit and special conditions
• Working with brokers and solicitors towards the successful completion of settlement in a timely manner
• Answering the telephone
• Managing the Inbox and replying to email queries from brokers and solicitors
• Attending to general enquiries from brokers, solicitors and third parties

Critical Challenges and Responsibilities:

• You will be working in a friendly and extremely fast paced environment and be responsible for ensuring all SLA's, compliance and quality standards are met on a daily basis.
• Daily liaison with team members on workflow and distribution of tasks
• Ensuring documentation requirements and systems requirements are complete to recommend deals for funding.
• Regular communication with Brokers and Broker support staff on requirements for efficient processing of deals through settlement and contract administration

Knowledge, Qualifications, and Competencies:

• Proven experience in strong customer service environment
• Experience with high level document processing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to be a team player whilst being highly self directed
• Previous experience in the Australian mortgage industry would be an advantage but not essential
• You must have excellent communication skills
• You must have high attention to detail, along with strong time management and organisation skills, and the ability to work to deadlines.
