Job Description
We are looking for a knowledgeable lawyer that should be familiar with the corporate laws of regulations of our industry. The Legal Officer's role is to ensure that our operations and processes adhere to all relevant legal and internal regulations. Candidates should have both a strong legal understanding and an ability to understand and optimize for business goals and requirements. Responsibilities
- Legal Compliance: Ensure that the company's operations, policies, and procedures comply with relevant laws and regulations. This may include areas such as labor laws, intellectual property rights, data protection laws, industry-specific regulations, and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. Review and verify KYC documents provided by clients and counterparties to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, partners, and other parties. Ensure that contracts are legally sound and protect the interests of the company.
- Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and liabilities faced by the company and develop strategies to mitigate them. Provide guidance to management on legal issues affecting business decisions.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various topics relevant to the company's business activities. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving disputes, including litigation, arbitration, mediation, and negotiation.
- Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and advise management and the board of directors on corporate governance matters.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in regulations relevant to the company's industry and operations. Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal documentation, including contracts, agreements, corporate records, and regulatory filings.
Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have earned a degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or a Juris Doctor (J.D.)

At least 2-3 years of experience in corporate law.
