Fit Out Designer  

Outboxed Solutions Inc. (OSI) is a Valenzuela-based design and fabrication shop that makes wood and steel home and office products. We've built a fit out practice over the last four years and are on the lookout for architects and interior designers to help us design products and manage our fit out projects

We are seeking a talented and experienced Fit-Out Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have specialized in office furniture, cabinetry, and joinery and is responsible for creating innovative and functional interior design solutions for office spaces. This role combines creativity, technical expertise, and project management skills to deliver customized and aesthetically pleasing interiors that meet the specific needs of clients. The Fit-Out Designer collaborates closely with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the design aligns with the project's goals and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design interior fit-out solutions for office spaces, focusing on office furniture, cabinetry, and joinery elements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to understand the client's requirements, space limitations, and design constraints.
• Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, color schemes, materials, and finishes, ensuring they comply with building codes and regulations.
• Prepare 3D renderings or drawings to illustrate design concepts and present them to clients for approval.
• Create comprehensive project documentation, including construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source appropriate materials and furniture pieces that meet design specifications.
• Estimate project costs and work within budget constraints, offering cost-effective design solutions.
• Coordinate and communicate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of the design plans.
• Oversee the installation of office furniture, cabinetry, and joinery elements, ensuring they meet design and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A Master's degree can be an advantage.

Experience:

• Proven experience in interior design with a focus on office spaces, furniture, cabinetry, and joinery, preferably 3-5 years or more.
• Portfolio showcasing previous work related to office fit-out design.

Skills:

• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering tools, and graphic design software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and materials.
• Familiarity with various office furniture systems, manufacturers, and suppliers.
