- Apply your knowledge of data science techniques and methodologies to solve complex business problems through data analysis and modelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, collect, and pre-process relevant data for analysis.
- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and models using Python and relevant libraries.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data visualization to gain insights and identify patterns.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate statistical models and machine learning algorithms based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with the full stack development team to integrate developed models into production systems.
- Validate and fine-tune models using appropriate performance metrics and statistical techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in the field of data science and machine learning.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
- Adhere to data privacy and security standards throughout the data analysis process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in data science, including data analysis, modelling, and machine learning.
- Working Proficiency in Python programming with relevant libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, nltk, matplotlib, Scikitlearn, and TensorFlow.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge to understand the foundational concepts and principles behind machine learning algorithms.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques to effectively communicate insights (e.g., Matplotlib, Tableau). Will be added advantageous
- Familiarity with Django framework for web development (optional, but advantageous).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex data sets to extract meaningful insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative coding practices (e.g., code reviews, documentation) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
