Job Description

The C&B Specialist is responsible for these 5 critical functions:

1. Compensation and benefits services

a. Regularly review the utilization and relevance of the benefits.

b. Coordinate with Finance on renewals and payments to service providers according to a set schedule including preparation of payroll-related activities as needed.

c. Research on industry benefits trends, particularly in a remote set-up, and present recommendations for improvement.

d. Collaborate with Departments to get the employees’ pulse related to benefits and C&B service level.

e. Timely and accurate processing of company loans and government benefits to include:

  • Handling inquiries and applications related to company and government loans
  • Coordinating appropriate payroll deductions for all company and government loans
  • Handling all inquiries and filing of benefits claims in SSS such as maternity and sickness

2. Records management & analytics

a. Custodian of physical & electronic e-201 files ensuring that employee records are
kept with compliance to DOLE, Data Privacy and ISO requirements
b. Assist Talent Acquisition in completing pre-employment requirements

  • Confirmation of Details

c. Prepares the necessary masterlist and headcount reports for TaMa dashboard and
similar purposes.
3. Performance Management

a. Ensures that regularization policy is updated and being observed
b. Manage regularization orientation for C&B related policies

c. Handles enrollment for benefits due regularization
4. Offboarding

a. Coordination for final pay which includes e-routing of employee’s clearance, and
timely release of complete exit documents.

5. DOLE/ ISO & DPA compliance

a. Ensures that all transactions comply with provisions set by DOLE, DPA as well as
ISO which will include preparation for audits and continuous review and improvements of set guidelines.
b. Serve as Aid & Relief Coordinator (ARC) under Straightarrow Business Continuity
Plan. The ARC serves as the information custodian for directories and primary
contact for financial aid.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/College Degree, preferably in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in compensation and benefits with a clear understanding of payroll and benefits mandated practices
  • History of success in handling all related transactions with government agencies including premium remittances, loans, and sickness/maternity reimbursements
  • Must have experience with automated payroll
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Excellent customer service
  • Patient with a desire to educate employees on mandatory payroll and benefits
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Able to handle confidential information
  • Can work Monday to Friday on a midshift schedule (10AM-7PM or 11AM-8PM)
  • Has a stable internet connection (at least 25 mbps)
  • Can work on site
