Surplus Shop started its operations on June 1, 1990. Its first branch was at SM City North Edsa. In March 1992, a branch was opened in SM Megamall, and in the same, year, various branches were opened in the Metro Manila area. In June of 1997, its first provincial branch was opened in SM Bacoor. Surplus Shop was patterned after contemporary warehouse-type stores. It sold export excess from export-oriented companies, adopting current trends abroad. Surplus Shop now has 41 branches in various SM Malls nationwide and growing. Then, and until now, Surplus Shop provides quality basic clothing products at affordable prices, or, as our tagline sums up “GREAT FASHION FINDS”
