Accountant  

The Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for assistance in analysing operational data, combined with the financial statements of the company, in order to project and predict future performance of RISE. This may include forecasting future revenues and expenditures, competition analysis, preparation of operational reports as well as modeling capital structure and budgeting.

This includes but not limited to:

• General accounting including reconciliations and schedules
• Preparing financial statements for external and internal reports in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Analysing of financial data, forecasts, and trends
• Collaborating with key business units to ensure accurate financial and operational reporting and decision support
• Assisting in the preparation of business cases for special projects that the company may consider pursuing in order to provide insightful information to facilitate decision making processes of the management team
• Assisting in financial modelling and forecasting
• Assisting in account reconciliations and analysis
• Escalating issues related to transactions, processes, or reports

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An ability to demonstrate your comprehensive bookkeeping experience using software package(s) (Xero and/or QuickBooks experience an advantage)
• A passion for attention to detail
• A working knowledge of Word, Excel and general computer skills (e.g. email)
• An ability to learn fast and be hardworking
• Familiar with complex accounting issues
• IFRS knowledge an asset
• CPA preferred but not required
