IT Officer for Cloud Systems

The IT Officer-Cloud Systems will support the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and services. This role involves collaborating with senior team members to optimize cloud solutions, ensure security compliance, and assist with the migration of applications to the cloud. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cloud technologies, is keen to develop their skills further, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Support the migration of applications and data to cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with senior team members to implement cloud best practices.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in the evaluation and integration of new cloud services and tools.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus but not required.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Basic scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Knowledge of network configuration and security best practices in cloud environments.
