Communications Sr. Specialist | For Pooling  

Position Summary:

The position is responsible for supporting the RSM department in programs to improve the following functions: a. internal communications and branding; and b. external communications strategy and execution in Coal BU

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Improves internal brand awareness by planning and executing brand cascade activities across the BU
• Ensures proper application of corporate brand identity and consistent brand experience.
• Supports RSM Manager in developing and reviewing long term internal and external communication strategy to improve the reputation of the BU
• Develops and implements an annual communications plan for the BU, ensuring that the plan aligns to the overall BU communications strategy and to the general AP Reputation communication strategy
• Provides capacity development opportunities for the BU departments on creating and delivering effective communications plan
• Develops methods and tools to assist different departments in creating an effective communications plan.
• Develops methods and tools to assist different departments in creating an effective communications plan.

• Provides guidance and necessary support to different departments in content creation, ensuring that the message they deliver is consistent with the communication plan and does not conflict with any of the BU’s general communication strategy.

• Develops and manages multimedia materials and platforms that will support the communication objectives of the BU for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Develops internal and external written communication, specially for those that have a potential impact to the BU’s reputation.

• Supports RSM manager in establishing a strategic media management strategy to improve news monitoring and reach of articles/materials related to Coal BU.

• Establishes base of local media contact to improve monitoring of news and reach of articles/materials related to Coal BU.

• Creates and implements a long term PR plan, seeding content to various media platforms with the end goal of pushing Coal BU’s communication objectives.

• Sets targets and monitors PR value generated from materials seeded to various media outlets.

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree preferably Mass Communications or Marketing
