Clear is looking for an Administrative Staff cum Assistant Bookkeeper to join our specialist team of Bookkeepers, Accounting & Administrative Staff who are working for Australian clients from a range of industries.
Role and Opportunity
Your new role is to provide outstanding administrative services and bookkeeping support to help our clients manage their operational and financial affairs.
Purpose
As an Admin cum Asst. Bookkeeper, you will:
- Provide administrative and clerical services to specific departments and the management
- Record financial transactions through our client’s bookkeeping systems
- Assist in producing financial reports by processing financial documents as requested
As an Admin cum Assistant Bookkeeper, you are expected to:
- Perform the standard administrative tasks as requested by a specific department
- Provide clerical services to the assigned departments and the management
- Encode and post journal entries for accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other admin tasks as requested by the client
- Assist in any of the following bookkeeping tasks:
- Review account codes and re-coding of transactions
- Record financial transactions and complete the posting process to the accounting system and other cloud-based bookkeeping systems
- Reconcile bank transactions, general ledger accounts, and other accounts
- Accounts Receivable: process sales invoices
- Accounts Payable:
- process purchase invoices by verifying that invoices and transactions comply with the Purchase Orders
- Process authorized payment to supplier’s invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Review and balance of Balance Sheet and P&L account codes
- Process payroll including payroll file payment and bank uploads
- Reconcile payroll and superannuation accounts
- Prepare and pay payroll tax returns (monthly) and reconciliation on an annual basis
- Process expense claims and reimbursements
- Assist with month-end accounting process including Payroll and Accounts Payable journals
- Assist with the year-end GST reconciliation, Business Activity Statements (BAS), and IAS preparation
- Perform other tasks as required by the client and the management
Kualifikasi Minimum
- At least 1 year of Australian bookkeeping or accounting work experience
- Minimum 2 years work experience in an administrative role
- Working knowledge of Xero or any accounting/bookkeeping system
- An accounting degree or any finance-related diploma
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams, with a high degree of skills in MS Excel
- Work application of the generally accepted accounting/bookkeeping principles and procedures
Essential Attributes
- Good English communication skills (both verbal and written)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset, can work independently while collaborating well with a team
- Flexibility to perform relevant admin tasks as required by clients.
Advantageous (Optional)
- Background in Australian business culture
- Experience in using MYOB, Quickbooks, or similar accounting software
