Job Purpose:
- Assists the Department Head in achieving the Department and Company’s goals
- Providing top management with reliable and timely information enabling them to make sound decisions
- Monitoring and maintenance of the accounting records of the Company
- Compliance to internal and external reportorial requirements
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance in different areas of Accounting.
- Performs the accounting and preparation of various accounting schedules supporting the financial statements.
- Prepares the Financial Reports for the Management, Parent Company and Regulators (BSP, SEC/CMIC, BIR).
- Handles the consolidation of the expenses budget provided by each unit and prepares the projected balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Conducts review/analysis when necessary (as required by Management and other units)
- Prepares/processes the request for payments and reviews applicable taxes on payments of goods and services.
- Ensures complete and proper filing/safekeeping of all company’s accountable forms, records and reports.
- Performs monthly inventory counts of securities, petty cash fund and fixed assets (annual) in coordination with Operations and IT Division and Administration Department.
- Monitors the receivable and payable accounts.
- Performs all the processes related to bank reconciliation (preparation of bank reconciliation reports, identification of bank floats and make the necessary report addressed to Operations Department, maintenance of corporate bank accounts and monitors client accounts related to credit card funding, dividends, IPO subscriptions and mutual funds’ investments).
- Handles the internal and external (i.e., BIR, SGV, MBT Audit, etc.) requirements for schedules and analyses.
- Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Kualifikasi Minimum
Education: Graduate of BS Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant
Experience: At least 1 to 2 years of related work experience
Skills: Good analytical and interpersonal skills
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the accounting standards, basic knowledge of BSP,
SEC and BIR Regulations
Personality: Keen to details, flexible and is able to work under pressure
