Senior Accounting Associate  

Healthspan is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Associate to join our company’s Finance team! As our Senior Accounting Associate, you will be supporting our Group Finance Manager in the day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

As our Senior Accounting Associate, you will be in charge of the following:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and management reports
• Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Handles the company’s payroll process
• Assist in monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide insights for corrective actions
• Evaluate and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets especially on Inventory and sales process
• Handles external audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors
• Prepare reportorial requirements to the BIR (e.g., filing of returns, inventory list)
• Handles the updating of the manual books of accounts (in the warehouse and in the office)
• Provide support and coverage for other Senior Accounting Associate as needed
• Handles special project assigned such as process improvements, system implementation or financial initiatives
• Other tasks to be given from time to time

• Preferred BS Accountancy graduate with CPA
• At least 1 year of experience with day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, BIR, reporting and financial reporting
• Prior experience preparing and filing all mandated government filings including BIR, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG
• Prior experience with Quickbooks is highly desired
• Detail-oriented, especially when concerned with numbers
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
