Product Development Technician  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fabric Consumption Approval:
   • Verify fabric consumption by checking printed patterns and pattern parts.
   • Compute and confirm fabric consumption before uploading to Flex software.
2. Trim Consumption Approval:
   • Approve trim consumption by reviewing the Trims/Accessories Sheet against the approved sample.
3. Final Specifications Check:
   • Ensure that final specifications conform to the Tech Pack.
   • Incorporate all changes in construction and measurements based on historical fitting results and evaluations.
4. Mini Markers and Consumption Verification:
   • Check and verify mini markers and fabric consumption to ensure accuracy.
5. Fabric Shrinkage Analysis:
   • Provide percentage fabric shrinkage on samples after washing, based on washed panels.
6. Workload Management:
   • Monitor and plan the workload of pattern-making, pattern grading, and marking-making staff.
   • Advise the Product Development Manager of any issues in each process.
7. Technical Problem Solving:
   • Address technical issues related to pattern adjustments, specification changes, marker layout, and fabric & trim consumption.
8. Fabric Collection Summary (FCS) Meetings:
   • Attend FCS meetings to address and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong understanding of garment construction and fabric properties.
• Proficiency in pattern making and grading.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Effective communication skills to address technical issues and provide clear guidance.
