Data Scientist | Relocation to Singapore  

Your mission:

• Work with the engineering team to ingest and transform data and guarantee high level of data quality and consistency. This imply a deep understanding of the data we are manipulating and building up domain experience to quickly identify problems.
• Understand business problem and find creative, scalable, automated, solution.
• Work with the engineering team to deploy developed solution in production
• Scrape retail websites and store data in redshift. Websites will be in different languages.
• Run text matching to identify identical products across multiple websites.
• Run price comparisons across a variety of attributes to draw conclusions
• Bonus: do google search trends correspond to products in store?

Profile summary:

• Redshift, ETLs
• Python/SQL skills for data massaging, familiarity with AWS is a plus. R is nice and we embrace it for prototyping.
• Machine Learning, both supervised and unsupervised.
• Good communication skills.
• Diplomas are not required, provided you can prove your talent some other way. Some CS background expected.
• We are hiring contractors for the following project, but we will only consider candidates who want to join us full time in Singapore.
