Junior Librarian  

Responsible for the preservation, maintenance and security of the company’s library collections both printed and non-printed and in providing assistance in the area of research.

Orients users in the Library rules and regulations including the use of card catalog.

Assists in classifying, cataloging and indexing of library collections. Prepares draft indexed and cataloged slips into 3x5 index cards.

Assists in processing incoming/ turnover of library materials both printed and non-printed.

Cut-outs and mounts selected news clippings and related reference materials from newspapers and magazines.

Maintains arrangement of information materials to have an effective retrieval.

Assists users in research needs. Identifies and attends to users’ needs – balancing these with organization’s resources and presenting a positive personal image.

Coordinates with the immediate head all important messages from RGOC such as problems that arise in the operations, etc. Initiates and organizes other project/s related to the service operations in a given target date.

Handles company assets. Responsible for the inventory of property of the company equipment and furniture. Responsible for keeping and maintaining the library collections such as expensive books, historical and valuable items/documents both printed and non-printed.

Maintains data in a computer system.

Prepares and submits library reports to immediate head.

Issues and recovers loan material. This includes charging and discharging (borrowing and return) of library items and recalling long overdue borrowed materials.

Logs and monitors library expenses budget for internal reference use.

Sorts out incoming library mails and classifies and files them accordingly.

Orders library requisition/ office supply as needed only.

Reports any damage/ repairs of library collection, equipment, furniture, lights, air-con, etc.

Attends seminars and training programs related to the job.

Performs other functions that may be assigned by the GPM from time to time.

• With Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science
• Open to Licensed and Non-licensed Librarian
• Preferably with at least 6 months of relevant work experience, but open to fresh graduates
• Knowledgeable in Adobe photoshop and Canva is an advantage
• Will be required to report onsite five (5) days a week
