Financial Controller | QuickBooks | Remote  

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly competent Finance Controller to oversee all aspects of our accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing month-end and fiscal-year-end closes, providing crucial financial information to the leadership team, and ensuring our books align with GAAP standards. Experience with Bill. com, Quickbooks Online, and ERP system Sage Intacct is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations, including month-end and fiscal-year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to provide accurate and timely financial information for informed decision-making.
• Conduct regular reviews of team members' work to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial entries and methodologies.
• Ensure that all accounting practices adhere to GAAP standards and best practices.
• Manage and coordinate the annual Financial Audit process, ensuring compliance and a smooth audit experience.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
• Lead the development and improvement of financial policies and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Analyze financial data and present insights and recommendations to the leadership team for strategic planning and decision-making.

• At Least 5 years of work experience as an accountant
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP compliance
• Proficiency in using financial management software such as Bill. com, Quickbooks Online, and Sage Intacct ERP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
