Agriculturist  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Creates comprehensive and adaptive agricultural plan with specified timelines.
• Advise farmers and team with specific instruction for carrying out agricultural plan (including soil, environmental, plant and animal management).
• Assesses market and farming trends for crops.
• Coordinates sales, deliveries, and canvassing of farm materials cost effectively.
• Possesses a wide local, provincial, and international network of suppliers, and contacts for farm sales and management.
• Coordinates with government agencies, local and international associations, suppliers, university research centers etc. on up-to-date farming practices, training, and farm management.
• Carries out up-to-date field research.
• Conducts regular training and daily updates on personal and team duties.
• Ensures tagging and inventory of all farm material and assets.
• All other items, tasks or duties that may be assigned.

Work Conditions

• Work schedule rotation.
• May be required to work overtime.
• May be assigned to assist in other areas as necessary

Minimum Education

• Graduate of bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Management

Minimum Experience/Training

• Certification on Good Agricultural Practices
• Basic Landscaping
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Any Email Software

• Passionate in agriculture with knowledge in horticultural, pest control, landscaping, safety procedures, and greenhouse operations.
• Expertise in vegetable and herb crops, fruit bearing, and non-fruit bearing trees, ornamental plants, and animals.

• Strong organizational skills; clean and tidy.
• Willing to learn and listen.
• Works with minimal supervision and work collaboratively with teams.
• Analytical and creative when problem solving; solution-oriented.
