Job Description
The Infection control nurse is responsible for the identification, prevention and control of outbreaks of infection in health care settings.
- Implements infection prevention and control activities and conducts surveillance on hospital acquired infection.
- Continuously conducts audits and observation on hand hygiene, OR Cleaning and general environmental learning during branch visits.
- Conducts monthly visits and evaluation of surgical centers and quarterly visits to all clinics.
- Ensures compliance with local and national regulations especially in health care waste proper segregation and management.
- Trains and orient new employees on basic infection control practices during initial orientation.
- Participates closely on facility audit and accreditation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License in Nursing
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably with Basic Competency Training for Infection Control Nurse Certificate and IV Therapy Certification.
