UX Designer  

We're looking for an ambitious, motivated, and passionate UX Designer with at least some experience in mobile. Somebody who will rise to the challenge of raising the bar for software developed domestically. At Domo, we build with an aim to shift the paradigm of how good UX is embraced and localized in the Philippine tech scene.


This position will be the ultimate flex in your portfolio of projects. You will be given wide latitude on how to distill and improve the feel of the app in order for to UX to engage and stand out. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating responsive, consistent, styles-based design systems.


Building on top of this base, he or she should be driven to use these skills to relentlessly optimize the UI and streamline the UX:


Innovative approach
Must be interested in keeping up with new trends/concepts, be eager to learn new methods, and be able to think quickly and as you go.


Problem-solving capabilities
Possess clear understanding to grasp the goals of the digital product, whether it's solving a problem, giving information, or providing any sort of utility to a user. Adept at ensuring products are as useful as possible, with real purpose in solving user problems.


A good sense of aesthetics
Crucial to have a strong sense of aesthetics in design. A good design is simple, clean, and at the same time, doesn't require much thought to process. Good design is invisible, like when you don't even notice the design at all.


Attention to detail
Cultivated solid foundation of careful planning, refining design, and enforcing consistency. Well-made details makes design beautiful and brings it to life. Consistency strengthens the user's understanding of the product.


Meticulously organized
Keeps design files uncluttered. Best practices should be second nature: naming pages accordingly, creating a file structure, dating it, naming layers, organizing project files, and keeping project documentation in respective folders.


Worth noting: Domo is designed in Figma and built on Bubble, a no-code platform. This role empowers the UX Designer with the unique opportunity to ensure consistency by directly translating designs into front-end elements on Bubble. Never tried? No worries! The learning curve is negligible for anyone with a strong command of Figma and allows for rapid iteration of interface.

▸▸ A bachelor's degree or equivalent

▸▸ Fluency in English and Filipino

▸▸ At least 3 years of experience in UX work or specialization

▸▸ Strong foundation of color theory, contrast values, neutral tones

▸▸ Mastery of Figma or equivalent

▸▸ Artistic creativity to conceptualize abstract concepts into visually appealing flows

▸▸ Familiarity with documentation of branding colors, style, and other elements that require consistency throughout the company

▸▸ Proficiency in creating and manipulating scalable vector graphics with Illustrator a plus
