Get to know the Role:
Responsible for driving merchant adoption for GrabPay. Lead the planning, strategizing and execution of co-branding campaigns with merchant partners, both local and global brands, in a manner that is aligned with company-wide objectives.
You will need to actively respond to the needs of merchants across various categories and business sizes. To succeed in this role, you need to be a self-motivated individual who can perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should be able to analyse data and other performance metrics, break down complex issues into executable strategies and detailed tactics.
The day-to-day activities:
- Be a founding member of the exciting new payments marketing team, helping to drive forward a critical part of Grab’s overall business
- Work with the business development team to segment the merchant ecosystem into meaningful target audiences and develop custom tailored marketing campaigns to acquire and engage merchants. Test, analyze and scale the best performing campaigns.
- Lead merchant marketing campaigns from inception through post campaign analysis and summary reporting. This hands-on manager will drive lead generation and operating efficiencies through the digital marketing channels while employing strong project management skills.
- Deep dive into competitive offerings to identify best practices and competitive differentiators.
- Identify quantitative success metrics and manage these metrics
- Drive merchant education activities both online and offline, covering everything from SEO and content marketing to activation events and community programs.
- Drive scalable programs for merchant-specific promotions across the SME merchant ecosystem.
- Build and manage a relationship with internal and external stakeholders to grow the business and meet the company’s overall objectives
- Work with GrabPay manager to plan quarterly spend, specifically for merchant support activities
- Properly track and manage costs
- Partner with business development and product teams to identify and solve issues, merchant pain points, and strategic opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
The must haves:
- 5-7 years’ experience in an analytical marketing role, with lead generation and inbound marketing experience.
- Merchant, retail, trade marketing or e-commerce marketing experience a big plus
- Successful track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies.
- Interested in new technology and have an open-mind towards rapid future developments in the digital space. Love to challenge the norm. Highly nimble.
- Proactive to drive data-needs to guide planning and decision-making.
- Works well with people, managing various stakeholders from different departments and backgrounds.
- Highly resourceful and fast learner.
- Customer-centric mindset with keen sense of analysing problems and solving them
