Sewing Supervisor  

1. The sewing supervisor is a highly technical person who can handle most of the operations on the sewing floor. They have to know the capabilities of the workers under her supervision and be able to instruct them to do anything that is required.
2. The Supervisor forms the link between employees and Management. It is their job to solve the problems they can and explain the ones they cannot to higher Management.
3. The Supervisor is directly responsible for the production and quality of her lines and ensures that the sewing section under her responsibility produces the required quantity and quality of production.

Main Responsibilities :

1. Coordinate input from the Cutting Section, check and ensure that correct loading, specification, pattern, sample, and accessories are issued to the sewing section and each operator.
2. Ensure all sewing operators are supplied with work and required trims and materials.
3. Check that all machines, attachments, folders, and guides required for production are available and working correctly.
4. Keep strict control of all lost time, such as machine breakdown and waiting for work.
5. Ensure that each sewing operator meets the required production target to the agreed-upon quality standard by carrying out routine quality checks on each operation and controlling the progress of operations to meet delivery dates.
6. Balance the workload of each operator at all times as necessary.
7. Motivation, discipline, and training of operators :

• Ensure that all operators are trained and motivated to the highest level. Teach the operators the correct handling and sewing method to achieve high-quality standards.
• Ensure that all operators observe safe working methods and company regulations.
• Ensure any matter affecting the physical and mental welfare of the operator is attended to.
• Periodically check that problem operators are performing satisfactorily. Motivate operators who are falling behind with low production and efficiency.
• Ensure all reject pieces are rectified immediately and that problem operations are checked and corrected.
