Piping Design Manager  

Responsibilities:

• The scope of work shall cover Plant Piping Design of LNG plants, Oil and Gas and other Energy Plants, from 3D modelling (PDMS or AVEVA E3D) up to detail design of Piping Spool, General Arrangement Drawings, MTO, Loading Data and its Piping Analysis (AutoPipe) and so on.
• Lead, and manage engineers for all phases of piping design works, in order to ensure that deliverables meet applicable standards and project requirements.
• Develops man-hour and cost estimates, as well as schedules for the projects.
• Review the work of assigned personnel and evaluate for completeness and accuracy to ensure the quality of the product.
• Interact and coordinate effectively with clients and other design disciplines to ensure correct implementation of the project requirements, 3D management and associated drawings.
• Conduct evaluation of assigned personnel.
• Provide training opportunities and training plans for personnel to strengthen the design skills of the section.

Requirements:

• With a degree of BS in Mechanical Engineering; PRC Licensed Mechanical Engineer
• Minimum 10 years work experience in Plant Piping design and operation of PDMS, or AVEVA E3D (3D Piping modelling system).
• With at least 6 years’ experience in supervisory / people management role.
• Well-versed international codes and standards particularly JIS and ASME.
• Has strong communication skills with the ability to direct and motivate personnel.
• Has strong management and team building skills
• Must be able to recommend and communicate business concerns/goals with counterparts and top management
• Capable to communicate in Japanese is a plus factor (N3 and above level) and has a working experience directly with Japanese client is an advantage.
• Has a good command of all standard office computer systems (Power Point, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must be able to guide and manage assigned personnel to execute a given task or project.
• Willing and interested to work with Japanese and other nationalities
• Must be willing to learn / improve his/her Japanese Language to have better communication with Japanese counterparts.
