Job Description

The Media Relations Manager will play a crucial role in expanding M2.0's PR services from local to international markets. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with media outlets across various countries, securing international coverage for clients, and contributing to the agency's global growth strategy. The role requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across different time zones and cultures.

Media Relations Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across key international markets
  • Create and distribute compelling press releases, pitch letters, and media materials for global audiences
  • Monitor international news and identify strategic opportunities for client coverage
  • Manage end-to-end media relations campaigns from planning to execution and reporting
  • Organize and coordinate international press conferences, media interviews, and events

Strategy and Planning

  • Develop targeted media strategies aligned with clients' global business objectives
  • Identify emerging media trends and opportunities in different markets
  • Create and maintain media lists for various regions and industries
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on international media engagement
  • Collaborate with local teams to ensure consistent messaging across regions

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for international media inquiries
  • Provide regular updates to clients on media activities and coverage
  • Prepare and present media coverage reports and analytics
  • Managing client expectations and deadlines across different time zones
  • Support new business development initiatives for global accounts

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in media relations, with at least 2 years handling international markets
  • Proven track record of securing coverage in international publications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong understanding of global media landscape and cultural nuances
  • Experience with media monitoring and PR tools
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in additional languages
  • Experience working in a PR agency with international clients
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital PR principles
  • International work or study experience
