The Strategic Planner is a key member of the M2.0 Communications team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans that drive client success and contribute to the agency's growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Philippine media landscape, a passion for strategic thinking, and a proven ability to translate insights into actionable plans. You will be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, and the development of innovative solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. You will work closely with account teams, creative teams, and senior management to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
What are your responsibilities?
Strategic Planning & Development:
- Develop comprehensive PR and communication strategies aligned with client goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Philippine market.
- Perform in-depth competitive analysis to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Translate research and analysis into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Develop innovative communication solutions and campaigns that drive results.
- Ensure >90% of planned strategic initiatives are successfully implemented within the defined timeframe (KPI: Strategic Plan Implementation Rate).
Client Relationship Management:
- Work closely with account teams to understand client needs and develop tailored strategies.
- Present strategic plans and recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Strive to achieve >85% of clients achieving their primary goals (KPI: Client Goal Attainment).
- Contribute to maintaining a >90% annual client retention rate (KPI: Client Retention Rate).
New Business Development:
- Participate in new business pitches and proposals, contributing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Develop compelling presentations and proposals that showcase M2.0 Communications' expertise and strategic capabilities.
- Contribute to a new business win rate of at least 30% (KPI: Contribution to New Business Wins).
Innovation & Thought Leadership:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in PR and communication.
- Develop and launch at least 2 new services/products per year based on market analysis and strategic planning (KPI: New Service/Product Development).
- Share knowledge and insights with the team and contribute to the agency's thought leadership efforts.
Financial Management:
- Manage the budget allocated for strategic planning activities effectively.
- Ensure that strategic planning activities stay within budget, with a variance of no more than 5% (KPI: Budget Management).
Teamwork & Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with account teams, creative teams, and senior management.
- Share knowledge and expertise with the team.
- Maintain an average rating of 4 or higher (on a scale of 1-5) for teamwork and knowledge sharing based on team feedback (KPI: Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing).
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of [5+] years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, or communications, preferably within a PR agency or related industry in the Philippines.
- Strong understanding of the Philippine media landscape and cultural nuances.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development; complete at least 40 hours of relevant training annually (KPI: Training & Development).
