As the Content Marketing Lead at Media Meter Inc, you will oversee the content strategy and execution, driving the brand’s messaging and positioning in the media monitoring space. You will lead a team of content creators and collaborate across departments to create compelling, results-driven content that increases brand awareness, generates leads, and supports client engagement. Your role will be pivotal in establishing thought leadership and ensuring that our content is impactful, creative, and aligned with business objectives.
What are your responsibilities?
- Develop and lead the overall content marketing strategy to promote media monitoring services.
- Manage the content calendar, ensuring timely production and publication of high-quality content across all channels (website, blogs, social media, email, etc.).
- Supervise and mentor a team of content creators, copywriters, and freelancers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, client support) to align content with customer needs and company goals.
- Create and oversee the development of diverse content formats, including case studies, whitepapers, infographics, videos, podcasts, and webinars.
- Optimize content for SEO and lead generation, utilizing data analytics to measure content performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Spearhead the development of thought leadership pieces, positioning the company as an industry leader in media monitoring and analysis.
- Build and manage partnerships with influencers, guest bloggers, and external media channels to expand content reach.
- Manage budgets for content marketing initiatives and ensure a positive return on investment.
- Stay current with industry trends, content marketing best practices, and innovations to keep the company’s content strategy fresh and competitive.
Minimum Qualifications
Are you right for the role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of content marketing experience, with a proven track record of managing content teams and delivering impactful content strategies.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team, provide strategic direction, and ensure high-quality outputs.
- Expertise in SEO, content management systems (CMS), and social media marketing.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio of published work.
- Ability to analyze content performance metrics and pivot strategies accordingly.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the media monitoring or technology sector is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and social media management platforms.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and experience working with multimedia content.
