Optometrist and Optical Educator  

MicroSourcng Ortigas is currently looking for an Offshore Optometrist and Optical Educator for the largest online retailer of eyeglasses and contact lenses in North America. This account is offering an alternative method of purchasing eyewear online.

Job Description:

• Create and provide training for complex optical concerns, for all vision ambassadors and consultants, tenured and new hires.
• Provide support to all Vision Care and Retail staff regarding any optical related questions or concerns
• Conduct one-on-one quality coaching sessions
• Coordinate with the Quality team to develop guidelines and standards for optical related communications
• Support various initiative in Vision Care related to retention programs and services
• Follow up with customers that are new progressive and contact lens customers to ensure product and service satisfaction
• Troubleshoot and modify order details tailored to each customer by interpreting optical prescriptions, segment height details and pupillary distance measurements
• Provide first-class service, represent client’s brand and demonstrate getting the customer right the first time through our service promise
• Track details of your interactions to present trends/insights from compiled information to Vision Care Management and Operations
• You will complete special requests from Vision Care management or operations to contact or follow-up with selected group of customers to meet business needs
• You support the product and web teams with optical knowledge that helps shape the product portfolio and web experience
• You support the content team as needed with quotes and/or articles for blog posts and other customer-facing content
• You will complete special projects and other duties as assigned by your Team Lead or Operations.

• Valid Dispensing Optician license to practice
• At least 5 years of previous optical and customer service experience
• Pays strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Proficient knowledge in the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act, Prescription Verification, FDA Complaint Handling and Potential Adverse Event Reporting Procedures
• Maintain expertise in the latest optical industry regulations, tools, technologies and medical awareness
• Extensive knowledge of our products which you will expertly use and tailor for each individual customer interaction
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor other team members
