Job Description
- Coordinate test environment set up and availability including hardware, servers, databases and multiple instances (dev, test, DR, prod, etc.)
- Able to develop test plans with entry and exit criteria that will be used for SIT, UAT and performance test processes across multiple sub-systems
- Create, coordinate and contribute to test script documentation that will include business and trade scenarios, test cases, conditions, validation points and expected results
- Ensure test scripts are comprehensive and traceable to business and functional requirements using best practice methods (e.g. use cases)
- Coordinate test plan with the project team and the bank client
- Manage the test execution process for all test phases (SIT, UAT, etc.)
- Manage the defect and remediation process with application developers and other testers and ensure documentation is organized and audit ready
- Provide system training to the client personnel before commencement of the test phases
- Coordinate daily test meetings and status updates; develop detailed and summary test status reports for all levels of stakeholders and management
- Manage the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders through the planning and execution phases ensuring availability of key stakeholders during execution, and obtain all relevant sign offs as part of the exit criteria
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as test coordinator or QC coordinator
- Ability to translate requirements into test plans, test cases and scripts ensuring all gaps are detected and remediated
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, data test bed set up and test staging across applications and functions
- Knowledge of test automation tools
- Ability to analyze business/system and data processes; ability to analyze functionality problems; ability to analyze conditions, environments and variables that affect test results; and ability to trouble shoot/resolve issues
- Ability to work cooperatively with challenging stakeholders and IT colleagues in a matrix environment
- Strong knowledge of banking and remittance systems is preferred
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
