- Designing database schemas and improving existing database designs.
- Benchmarking and optimizing queries.
- Managing and developing clustered/replicated database system using MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or other engines.
- Troubleshooting database related problems.
- Designing and implementing backup, archive, migration and upgrade strategies
Minimum Qualifications
.The Successful Candidate Will Be :
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
- 1+ year experience with MySQL clusters.
- 1+ year experience with high performance / big data handling (e.g. Table Partitioning).
- Knowledge and experience of Percona, Big Data, Cassandra, and OLAP databases will be preferred.
- Being able to work in an interrupt-driven environment and to easily move from task to task while maintaining overall productivity.
- Being able to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Ability to be careful and thorough with detail.
- Being able to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
