Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new and emerging channels of distribution within the industry
- Analyze competitive trends, competitive strategies and landscape and consumer trends for channel expansion
- Develop strategic plans and initiatives to capitalize on identified opportunities
- Strategy and Planning:
- Assist in developing strategic plans to explore and integrate new distribution channels, aligning with the company’s growth objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that new channels are viable and complement existing sales and marketing strategies.
- Partnership Development:
- Help identify potential partners for new distribution channels and assist in negotiating partnership agreements
- Maintain relationships with new and existing partners to ensure continuous growth and mutual benefits.
- Cross-functional Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing and seller’s success to tailor campaigns and product offering for new distribution channels.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence and channel feedback
- Coordinate with supply chain team to integrate new channels into the overall sales strategy
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay updated of industry trends, technological advancements, and market dynamics to continuously identify new channel opportunities
- Encourage, drive and contribute to innovation and experimentation to adapt strategies and tactics; exploring creative solutions to changing business development challenges
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize business outcomes
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor, prepare and present performance reports of distribution channels and effectiveness and ROI
- Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing channel performance.
- Reviews and summarizes initiative performance reports & stewarding action plans in support of the weekly/monthly management routines
- Monitor business development processes and make recommendations to improve systems/processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- +2 years of experience in business development, sales, or similar role with focus on developing new channels of distribution
- Strong Analytics and strategic thinking skills
- Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships
- Proficient in market research and data analysis tools
Preferred Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication is essential for building and maintaining relationships with potential partners
- Deep understanding of distribution channels, market trends, and consumer behavior
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Innovative thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
