Job Description
- Assists users or answers basic user inquiries for the point-of-sale/point-of-service system and other IT systems for which he has been trained
- Installs POS servers, POS terminals, user workstations and related IT equipment
- Connects the equipment to power source and communication lines that allow the transmission of information over computer networks
- Help programmers and system analysts test and debug new programs, as specifically requested in writing
- Performs and maintains periodic back-up of information tapes and other storage media
- Ensures that the only authorized users are allowed to access branch IT area and equipment including PCs and POS servers / terminals, and network equipment
- Transfers authorized files electronically (completely, accurately and on-time)
- Run computer applications using written guides approved by ITS Head Office
- Can work with minimal supervision
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s /College Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering and related courses
- Must be knowledgeable in POS and basic programming
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Preferably in a Supervisor role/level
- Flexible to be assigned to work schedules supporting the retail operational hours
- Full-time position available
