Job Description
Purpose
As a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Trends Group Inc., you will be an integral part of our in-house marketing team, contributing to the development and execution of strategic marketing and communication initiatives. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work directly within the dynamic environment of our organization, where your creativity, strategic thinking, and communication skills will drive our brand presence and engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Campaign Development and Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute integrated marketing and communication campaigns in line with company objectives and budgets
- Develop detailed marketing briefs that align with brand guidelines and target audience personas.
- Oversee campaign implementation across diverse channels, including digital, (website, social media, email marketing, paid advertising), print, and events while ensuring coherence and consistency.
- Manage campaign budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Track and analyze campaign performance data, using insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
- Use marketing automation and analytics software, such as HubSpot, Marketo or Pardot.
Brand Management:
- Uphold and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communication materials and platforms.
- Develop and enforce brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive and distinctive brand image.
Content Creation and Copywriting:
- Maintain brand voice and messaging consistency across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with design teams to create visually appealing and compelling content.
- Help to review press releases, social media posts, website copy, blogs, white papers, and marketing collateral.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and company opportunities.
- Analyze campaign performance data and metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Stay informed about industry developments and propose adjustments to strategies as needed.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and addressing company needs.
- Present campaign updates, discuss strategies, and gather feedback in internal meetings.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand their goals and objectives, aligning communication strategies accordingly.
Event Coordination:
- Contribute to planning and executing company events, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate logistics, manage vendor relationships, and ensure seamless event execution.
Media Relations:
- Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Draft press releases and media pitches, coordinating outreach efforts.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
Digital Marketing:
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including social media management, email campaigns, and online advertising.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics, engagement, and trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Sales or a related field
- 10+ years of proven experience in strategic marketing and communications roles, showcasing expertise in developing and executing successful campaigns and managing communication initiatives simultaneously. Background in enterprise technology is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
- In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing trends, tools, and analytics to drive effective digital strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with media contacts and industry influencers, contributing to positive media coverage and brand influence
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive initiatives from conception to completion
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while fostering teamwork and achieving objectives efficiently
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g. Meltwater, Media Meter), social media listening tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Brandwatch) and website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
